3099: Order Rejected
What This Means
This error means that the store (the website or application you have connected to QPilot) rejected the Order, and the reason it returned could not be matched to a more specific error category. Because the reason is unclassified, this code does not tell you exactly what went wrong — only that the order was rejected during processing.
- Client Order Status: Rejected
- Your connected client returned a rejection, but the reason did not map to a known category.
- Payment Processing: No payment was processed.
- Scheduled Order Status: Failed
- This is a Processing error, so the Scheduled Order status is set to "Failed" after the connected client rejected the Order.
QPilot does not automatically retry this Scheduled Order, and no payment update request is sent to your Customer for this error. Resolving it requires you to review the details and take action.
Common Causes
- Your store returned an error that doesn't map to a known category.
- An unexpected or new store / platform error occurred.
Suggested Next Steps
- Review the failure reason and the Order Creation Response for the Scheduled Order's Processing Cycle for more details.
- The failure reason and response will display what your connected client returned when it rejected the Order. This may help you identify the underlying cause.
- Because the reason is unclassified, confirm both the Order data and the Customer's payment method before retrying.
- Do not assume the payment method is at fault, and do not assume it is fine — the rejection reason does not confirm either. Check that the Order data (items, totals, and required fields) is valid, and verify the Customer has a valid saved payment method in QPilot and in your payment gateway.
- If the cause is unclear or the error keeps recurring, contact QPilot support with the Scheduled Order and Processing Cycle details.
After Resolving The Issue
Once you have reviewed the failure reason and confirmed the Order data and payment method, you should use the action to Restart Processing the Failed Scheduled Order.
