3003: Rate Limited (Will Retry)

What This Means

This error means that the store or platform you have connected to QPilot temporarily rate-limited the request while QPilot was processing the Scheduled Order. This is a transient condition — the store or platform briefly declined the request because too many requests arrived in a short window. QPilot retries the request automatically, so in most cases you do not need to take any action.

  • Client Order Status: Not created
    • The request was throttled before an Order could be completed on your connected store.
  • Payment Processing: No payment was processed.
  • Scheduled Order Status: Will be retried
    • Because this is a temporary condition, QPilot re-queues the Scheduled Order and attempts it again automatically on a later processing cycle.

Common Causes

  • The store or platform returned a throttling or rate-limit response to QPilot's request.
  • A burst of processing briefly exceeded the store's request limits.

Suggested Next Steps

  1. Usually, no action is needed. QPilot detects the rate-limit response and automatically retries the Scheduled Order on a later Processing Cycle.
  2. If the same Scheduled Order continues to be rate-limited across multiple cycles, review the API rate limits configured for your connected store or app to confirm they can accommodate your processing volume.

After Resolving The Issue

Because this error is retried automatically, most Scheduled Orders will process successfully on a later cycle without any intervention. If you have addressed a persistent rate-limit configuration and want to attempt the order immediately rather than wait for the next cycle, you can use the action to Restart Processing the Failed Scheduled Order.
